We heard mention of singing in California first!
Wow… that got us all extremely excited …then we heard “California Hall” … and then “Finchampstead”! Of course this got us even more excited, especially when we realised Signature was planning a joint ‘sing-out’ with local male choir: Thames Valley Chorus.

Yes, we are easily pleased, even more so at the lure of sandwiches, cakes and “lashings of ginger beer” (which  those of a certain age – raised on Enid Blyton’s Famous Five will appreciate

So, on Saturday February 25th we found Finchampstead in google maps, sat navs and good old fashioned AA road Atlas and arrived there for the 7pm start, accompanied by family, friends and anyone in need of a good harmony fix.

The event was a great success with both Signature and Thames Valley together on the risers to start the evening with a combined warm-up and to close the evening with “Let’s Get Together Again”.

In between, the audience heard both choruses sing fabulous old favourites and more contemporary pieces. Quartets and octets from both groups also sang for us.

We hope to get together again in the future to share our love of harmony singing and especially our joy in singing in the Barbershop style.
